Recombinant Bovine Interleukin 8

Details

Catalog number: CM0026

Format: 50ug, 200ug, 500 ug

Origin: It is produced by transient expression in non-transgenic plants and purified by sequential chromatography steps. This product contains no animal–derived components or impurities.

Description: IL -8 is a chemokine produced by macrophages and released in response to some inflammatory stimulus. It exerts its effect through the binding to G protein coupled to receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2, mainly present in neutrophils, monocytes and endothelial cells. IL-8 belongs to a subdivision of CXC-chemokines, which has an amino acid sequence Glu-Leu-Arg (ELR) preceding the first conserved cysteine amino acid residue in the primary structure of these proteins. This ELR motif is related with angiogenic properties. IL-8 Induces VEGF expression and endothelial cell proliferation. There is strong evidence that IL-8 is regulated by muscle contractions, both in mRNA and protein levels; however, contrary to other cytokines IL-8 is weakly released from skeletal muscle working, suggesting that its main action is local.

Species: Bovine

Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE gel

Endotoxin: < 0.05 EU / μg protein (LAL method)

Formulation: Formulated from Phosphate Potassium buffer pH 7.5 and NaCl. Sterile filtered through a 0.22µm filter.

Reconstitution: Lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water following instructions of Certificate of Analysis (CoA). At higher concentrations solubility may be reduced and multimers generated. Optimal concentration should be determined for specific application and /or assay

Storage and Stability: The lyophilized product is stable between 2-8ºC. Once reconstituted, use immediately or store in aliquots at -20ºC (maximum shelf life 3 months). Avoid thawing and freezing.
