Summary
 Agrenvec is dedicated to the production of proteins by means of the super-expression technology in non transgenic plants through a viral vector derivative of TuMV.
The advantages of the vector compared with other methods are:
- Cmpletly safe: It doesn't affect animals or humans, it's not transmitted by pollen, seeds or plants louses or contact.
- Authrized by the CNB for its locked use, type 1 (null or insignificant risk). First outdoor tests in Europe.
- Is more productive, faster, easily scalable, it has a better costs economy, is more flexible/versatile, and its expression is non costitutive. (Host plants non food non feed)
Technology
Daily verification of the appearance of symptoms in brassicas inoculated with the cDNA of human interferon 2A alpha. As the plant increases the expression of the foreign protein, the appearance of chlorotic and corrugated zones is observed in the leaf surface . The use of techniques of RT-PCR and ELISA allows us to monitorize the production process and choose the optimal moment to harvest the leaf and purify the protein
El proceso
- The customer sends us, through e-mail or any other way, the amino acid chain of the protein to produce.
- An initial production is made in the laboratory, generating an amount of 1 mg.
- The obtained sample is sent to the customer with a report of the quality of the protein and the production process. This initial sample is available in 4 weeks.
- Once the customer analizes the sample and compare his own tests with the report, the production begins in the greenhouses. This production will last depending on the requested amount of protein. Once finished the production of the protein in the locked viral vectors inside the plants, the processes of harvesting and extraction in laboratory begins, obtaining the final product, wich is sent to the customer.
