History
AGRENVEC is born as a
spin-off company in 2001, by means of a licence from the INA (National Institute for Agrarian and Nourishing Investigation and Technology).
Endorsed by a
multi-discipline group of experts with an extensive professional trayectory, Agrenvec is
one of the few companies in the world capable of use the
viral vectors technology, transforming plants into bio-factories.
Agrenves investigates, developes and comercializes
enzymes of industrial use produced in
non transgenic plants.
The favoured relationship between an
extraordinary bio-technological development and the conventional agriculture allows the benefit of as much of the
agrarian sector as of the
environment and the
industry.
Parallelly to the agro-biotechnology, Agrenvec maintains a
technical division dedicated to the
consulting and the agrarian and environmental technology.
Our laboratory
AGRENVEC has
two seats at the moment. The central offices, laboratories of molecular Biology, purification pilot and control of quality are in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), we have
200 m² equipped with the
last technology in genetic engineering, protein purification including a last generation
ÄKTA Explorer, plants growing chambers, a
PCR and ELISA laboratory, etc. The industrial production is made in the opening of the Ebro River, where a
privileged microclimate provides the suitable conditions for the confined development in the greenhouses .
Agrenvec counts with a
stable work team of more than ten highly qualified professionals. 30% of our personnel have a
doctorate and 60% an
university degree. Our directive personnel has long experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry, specially in cancer, as well as in biotechnological use of plants.
Agrenvec applies the
tools of molecular Biology in its facilities, completely equipped to develop the phases of
investigation and development, previous to the phase of industrial production.
